We were fortunate enough to be successful in a Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal grant late last year, which will allow us to continue our regular community art classes and roll out the Stobie Pole Art project to beautify these on select poles in our main street.
We have started the stobie pole sessions and are continuing them on the dates below at the Brukunga Hall. We’d love to see anyone interested in participating there.
We’re also planning on some weekend or school holiday sessions to allow others to join in too as part of this. Watch this space for more details about the Youth Arts component of this project.
BUT even if you’re not into the doing of the art, we are looking for donations of any coloured tiles, sea glass and/or ceramics for some extra special mosaic components to this community art project.
The tiles and/or ceramics can be broken, chipped but preferably COLOURED and around 5mm thick.
Coloured as in not white or shades of white. Any solid colour is what we are after. Or patterns with colors are great too.
For more info or questions please email info@brukungacommunityassociation.org and we can arrange pick up around Brukunga, Dawesley, Nairne or nearby.
STOBIE POLE ART SESSION DATES: Pls note there are some Saturday sessions scheduled in the July & October school holidays for those who can’t make the weekday ones:
