Who doesn’t love a good before and after in progress photo, especially when it’s of our very own Brukunga Community Garden!
Such a lot of love and community support has gone into creating this new space within our town, so THANK YOU to all of you involved, but also a huge thanks to the following organisations and businesses who have helped us be able to create this too…
THANK YOU TO:
~ Mount Barker District Council for the new look carpark and wheel stops.
~ @wellbeingsa.southaustralia & some funding again from Mount Barker District Council‘s Fire to Flourish program (@Australiangovernment) for the Community Garden as a whole. Without this funding we would not have the start on it that we have with all our amazing wicking beds!
~ Reclink Australia for all their support in providing catering for our workers on the Community Garden Working Bee Day.
~ Mount Barker District Council for giving us the access to the Brukunga Hall that they always do for all our events and meetings, as well as for linking us with Duck Flat Community Garden who kindly provided our Community Garden with the seedlings we have just planted out!
~ Also a huge thanks to @adelaidehillsvegiegardens who supplied our wicking beds and taught us all how they are put together and how they work.
~ And we were also lucky enough to have Mrs Sippy Mobile Coffee and Bar provide us all with the caffeine needed on the day!!
~ Finally, also a huge thank you to our Fire to Flourish Community Resilience Officer Lee who has helped coordinate this project so beautifully within our town.
Watch this space, next up will be the fence along the front of the garden and if anyone would like input into this we are meeting today (Thurs 10th August) at 1pm at the Community Garden to discuss it in more detail with the fencing contractor. All welcome!
