Stobie Pole Art Project

Brukunga Stobie Pole Art Project – Bringing Color to Our Streets!

Thanks to a generous grant from The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR), the Brukunga community has transformed 20 Stobie poles into stunning works of art!
Over the past year, we’ve worked alongside talented art teacher Naomi from Wonkie Knee Art, using both paint and mosaic to create vibrant designs that now brighten our town.

A Community Art Project with a Lasting Impact

This project has been a true labor of love, bringing together locals of all ages to express their creativity and celebrate Brukunga’s unique character. Each pole tells a different story, with designs inspired by our history, nature, and community spirit.

Take a Stroll and Enjoy the Art!

🌟 See the transformation for yourself!
Wander along Brukunga’s main street and admire the colorful, handcrafted designs up close. Every piece is filled with care and attention to detail, turning once-ordinary Stobie poles into public art that inspires and delights.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, and to FRRR for making this possible—your creativity and support have truly brightened Brukunga!
